FS2000 Panel for Cessna 150/152
===============================

This panel for Cessna 150 and 152 is based on real pictures.
I only have adapted the panel to use the available FS2000
radios and gauges. So, this panel is for FS2000 only.
I want to thank Paul Beardsley for these pictures and
Arne Bartels who made some specific gauges. I also want
to thank J.L.Stubbs who let me use his Cessna yokes.

The gauges I used come from the gauges I have in my FS2000
gauges folder and their origin is either FS2000 default gauges
or they come from downloads. They are the following and I
would like to thank their author for the very ncie job they
did in programing these gauges :

* For most of the main instruments I used the FS2000 CESSNA.GAU and
CESSNA_182S.GAU where I have changed the bitmaps to make them fit
the 150/152 look
* The ammmeter, EGT and suction gauges are former FS98 C182 gauges
* The compass gauge is a former FS98 Extra-300 gauge
* The flaps gauge is a former FS98 Lear 45 gauge
* The throttle and mixture gauges come from the J-4 Cub panel made
by Br5an@aol.com (BCK.JL_J-4_Cub_Mixture or Throttle)
* The Carb Heat is the former FS98 CarbTemp Gauge made by Tim Dickens
who also made the NAV-GPS switch
* For the fuel quantity, the fuel primer, the oil temp/press and the
timer gauges, I used the gauges made by Christian Koegler
* For the panel toggle gauges, I used either FS2000 default gauges, or
specific gauges made by Arne Bartels
* For the parking brake gauge, I used the parkbrake_typ1.gau made
by technic direct edv gmbh, who also made the lights switch for
strobe, land and panel lights
* The pitot heat gauge is made by HGHB Virtual Instruments
* The vertical trim gauge is an adapted version of the defaults
FS98 gauge.
* The yoke toggle panel gauge is an adapted version of the
toggle.20.On/Off gauge made by Mike Weerasinghe
* The radios are the FS2000 Bendix radios and GPS.
* The hourmeter gauge is a FS98/FS2000 gauge von Scott Macmillan
(see documentation)

I also have added the cockpit views according Paul's pictures
of the plane he flies on.

Installation
------------

1) Unzip the file C1502pnl.zip in a temporary folder.
You will get new zipped files and some separate
text and bitmap files
2) Unzip the gauges.zip in a temporary folder and put
all the gauges into your FS2000/gauges subdirectory
3) Unzip the sounds.zip in a temporary folder and put
all the sounds into your FS2000/sound subdirectory
4) Unzip the panel.zip file in a temporary folder.

From there, you have two possibilities. If you want to
be abble to use the panel with different aircrafts :

- Rename this folder C_1502_panel and put it in
the FS2000/Aircraft/FSFSConv subdirectory
- Replace the panel.cfg file of the aircraft where you
want to install the panel by the C_1502_panel.cfg
file after renaming it panel.cfg. This will let
you use the same panel for other planes

If you want to use the panel with one aircraft only,
then put all the items of this folder in the panel
subfolder of the aircraft after deleting its previous
content (make a backup first of its contents)

5) Unzip the Vspeed.zip file in a temporary folder.
Choose the C_150_Vspeed_xx.bmp according your
language, rename it C_1502_Vspeed.bmp and put it
in the former panel subfolder and delete the former
file. By default, the C_1502_Vspeed.bmp is in french
as it is my mother language.

Actually, english, french, german, spanish and italian
versions of the Cessna 150 Vspeeds/Checklists are
available. Their names are C_150_Vspeeds_xx.bmp where
xx is US, FR, GE, SP or IT.

Take care, the file name must be C_1502_Vspeeds.bmp
and not C_150_... The reason is that this will allow
to make later the same Vspeeds list for 152 which will
be then named C_152_Vspeeds_xx.bmp.

6) Unzip the Views.zip file in a temporary folder and
put all the cockpit views in the former panel
subfolder.

Panel description
-----------------

This panel represents a complete Cessna 150/152 panel
with both pilot and copilot instruments. If you want
to have an enlarged panel, click on the button where
a magnifying glass is represented. You will then
switch to a larger pilot's panel only. To come back
to the standard panel, click on the same button.

You can access to the compass and GPS panels as usual
with the default FS2000 buttons.

On the small panel, if you click on the center of the
altimeter you get a zoom on it to enable you to adjust
the barometric pressure. A click on the center of the
enlarged altimeter and it disappears.

On the small panel, if you click on the small checklist
on the right (under the rpm), you get an enlarged
checklist and Vspeed list.

A click on the enlarged Vspeeds/check-list and it
disappears. On the large panel, use the button
where a V is represented to access the enlarged
Vspeeds/check-list.

Nota : Feel free to make your own bmp which must
be in 8 bit colour bmp and have a size of
485 x 768 pixels. Do not use 0,0,0, black
as it will be transparent.

The yokes are visible only with the small panel when
you load the aircraft. A click in the Cessna logo of
the pilot's yoke make it disappear. A click on it's
empty axe hole on the panel and it appears. On the
pilot's yoke is installed an extra chronometer as
usual on many planes (see the chronometer notice).

The hourmeter registers the total engine hours in a
specific file named C_1502Hr.DT3 located in the
main FS2000 directory.

IMPORTANT : Do not use SHIFT+X where X is a number
if you want to use efficiently your panel.
Use the mouse and click on the buttons to
switch panel.

Avionics and radios
-------------------

The default panel uses the default BENDIX_KING radios
and has an ILS and an ADF indicators, as well as an
autopilot. It also has a FS2000 GPS. I know it is very
much equipment for a 150, but I think that having a
complete panel let you easily drop some avionics.
The radio gauges for this panel are not supplied in
this archive. They are FS2000 Standard edition gauges.

For those who like to fly the Cessna 150 around the
airport in schooling conditions, I have added two
versions of the panel.cfg file :

- the same panel, but without autopilot
The name of the file is: NoAP_Panel.cfg

- a panel without autopilot, but with Collins radios
like the radios used on Paul Beardsley aircraft (the
model for the cockpit views). The radio gauges for
this panel are not supplied in this archive. They are
FS2000 Pro edition gauges.
The name of the file is: Collins_Panel.cfg

- the same panel as the previous one (with Collins radios)
but with the standard Cessna transponder which was in use
around 1975. The gauge for the transponder is the Dreamfleet
one which you have downloaded with their 172 model. it is
not supplied in this archive.
The name of the file is: Xpder_Panel.cfg

For those nostalgics of the real Cessna 150, I will later
issue a version with the 300 series radio and only a VOR and
an ADF.

Freeware
--------

This panel is a freeware. Don't use it in any commercial
product for any reason without my prior written authorisation.
